1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for a dynamic, experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wellow House School, Newark.

About Wellow House School

Wellow House School is an independent co-educational preparatory school, teaching ages 3 to 16. About the Position :

  • To provide the support and framework for learning by giving assistance with prompts, suggestions and hints to enable the learner to solve the problem/complete the task.
  • To encourage the use of collaborative skills by assisting the pupil to learn to work with others.
  • To actively support the approach of the school in behaviour management and reinforce agreed rules in working with pupil
  • To assist with the class teacher in the effective delivery of the curriculum, under their provided guidance
  • Part of this role will involve safeguarding responsibilities including the reporting of any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Team

Contract Type: Term Time Only, Permanent,

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday,  8:35pm and 4:30 pm

Salary: Dependent on experience
