Welcoming Year 10 Students in September 2022!

Welcoming Year 10 Students in September 2022!

Wellow House School is delighted to announce that we are extending our academic provision, and from September 2022 will be welcoming Year 10 students. This announcement is for current and new Year 9 parents who are considering the next steps regarding their child’s education.

OUR EXPANSION PLANS

This is the exciting start of a longer-term strategy to eventually expand the school to also include Year 11 within the next 2 years.

Choosing to continue your child’s education at Wellow House, or sending your child to study with us will ensure your loved one receives a fine academic experience with a bespoke curriculum created for those in Year 10, as well as the opportunity to take the English Baccalaureate (a set of specialised subjects taken at GCSE which can help open doors to higher study and fantastic future career opportunities).

Other highlights of a Wellow House education include ensuring there are no more than 16 children per class – so everyone gets the undivided attention they need at this crucial time in their lives.

EXTRACURRICULAR BENEFITS

We also offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities including Duke of Edinburgh and the Combined Cadet Force to broaden the horizons of youngsters and provide them with essential skills outside of the classroom. Our goal of maintaining an excellent standard of education and recreational activities is strengthened by our unparalleled facilities such as a swimming pool and an on-site tennis court.

There are also a range of exciting clubs for students to join including archery, drama, golf, scuba diving, art, hiking, photography, sewing, cookery, French, textiles, ICT and more.

Kirsty Lamb, Headmistress, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our academic provision over the next few years, starting with Year 9 in September 2021. This expansion will provide more spaces for the ever-growing list of ambitious students wishing to join us, and this is a great opportunity for our younger pupils to now progress through the school and continue to benefit from the fantastic education we offer. We are looking forward to accomplishing great things in partnership with our pupils and parents over the coming years.”

Whether you already have a child at Wellow House, or are keen to learn more about us, we are more than happy to answer all of your questions.
