Wellow House School is seeking a proactive and organised Office Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our busy school office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our pupils, parents and staff while becoming part of a welcoming independent school community.

About the Role

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, All Year Round

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:15pm

Salary: Competitive

Start Date: Immediate start available

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the school office and reception.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies.
  • Providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the Headteacher.
  • Supporting school finance administration, including invoices and financial records.
  • Managing correspondence, records and admissions enquiries.
  • Ensuring a professional, welcoming and efficient front office service.

About You: We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous administration or office management experience.
  • Is highly organised with excellent communication skills.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Can manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Has experience using Microsoft Office; knowledge of Xero or similar finance software is desirable.
  • Previous school experience is advantageous but not essential.
