Wellow Open Day Wellow House School

The Wellow House School Parents Association (WHSPA) is enthusiastically looking for new volunteers to join the team. We totally understand that people are busy and they do not necessarily have as much time as they would like to commit but any contribution, large or small, in any form will be gratefully received. Perhaps you’re thinking:

"I may be able to volunteer for an hour as a helper if it was a weekend"

"Coordinating events is my thing and I’d love to get heavily involved"

"I have the odd contact that would maybe donate a raffle prize or lend equipment"

"I could attend a few meetings and throw some ideas in the pot"

As parents we all have the same common goal; to give our children the best education, with the best facilities and with as much enjoyment as possible. WHSPA seek to support this by:
Being the heart of the school’s community spirit by bringing parents, staff and children together in social activities. This could be anything from a Family Christmas Fayre, to a Parents and Friends Race Night, or a Pupils School Disco.

Raising funds in the process also enables some fantastic additional resources to be purchased for our children. For example, last year WHSPA funded such purchases as the upgrade of Pre-Preps ICT equipment and a new projector.

Our next meeting will be posted on the WHSPA notice board by the library, please come along. Please feel free to drop in on any meeting. We do have both men and women who attend so Dads, no need to be shy!

Cast any old-fashioned stereotypes of a PTA out of your mind. We are a proactive team, always looking for fresh ideas and ways that we can support the children! Any spare time that you can find representing your child and their year group, as part of the WHSPA team or by attending events, is always more than gratefully received.
