No parents with a talented child should feel that Wellow is necessarily beyond their means. A percentage of pupils currently at the school are receiving some financial support. Financial support can come through a scholarship or a bursary or a combination of the two. These are the ways in which a candidate can secure a funded place:
Scholarships may be awarded to pupils aged 7+ to 11+ of outstanding academic potential. Awards may also be made to pupils who are gifted in art, music or sport.
Bursaries are awarded from the Stewart General Charitable Trust and from general school funds to assist parents who are unable to meet the full fees, or who need short-term assistance. Such Bursaries are assessed on a means tested basis, and are reassessed annually.
A discount of 10% of the tuition fees are made for a parent’s second child and all subsequent children. This applies whether or not the older pupils are still at the school.
Wellow House School continues to offer outstanding education to children aged 3-13. We are pleased to be able to continue to offer 15 hours ‘free’ childcare under the nursery voucher scheme. A top up of an additional 15 hours may be used in alternative settings including OFSTED registered childminders.
